Diego was a new student from Mexico and the teacher allowed him to introduce himself to the class. After he did that everyone wanted him on their team. Well there was a student in that class that everyone laughed at when he hit the ball incorrect, well Diego decided to comfort and encourage him at the same time. He told him (student that was being bully) that it was okay that he would get it the next time, but he could not seem to get the ball correctly over the net and the other students laughed at him, and laughed. Diego told the class, well instead of laughing at him, show him how to hit the ball the correct way so he can learn how to do from everyone. Everyone stop and listen and decided to show their classmate how to serve the ball the correct way. Diego became a leader on his first day. After they show the student how to play, then he seem like he had more confident and he had more friends or interacting with his peers more.In this video you can see that the student wasn’t enjoying himself at all, that his confident went down every time the class laughed at him. This activity was not a fun one for him and this showed that he was being made fun of and bullying in his class by his peers. This is not fun at all, this student was being “verbal bullying” (Bullies… What is bullying). As a teacher and parents we have to teach, preach to our kids/ students that they have a voice, they have a right to feel safe, to be who they want to be, to make mistakes without being physical bully, verbal bully and a relationship bully.
