INTRODUCTION
Life is definitely a sequence of things happening. Things out of sync are unwelcome in human lives. Events that happen at extremely high frequency and are mistimed are very dangerous. [social climate, geopolitical climate, etc] Climate is the average of weather and the standard pattern of its categorical variables such as temperature, precipitation, humidity, atmospheric pressure and other related environmental factors. Climate change is a harsh reality. A study in [1] says that the loss of ice in arctic region between 1979 and 2003 its more than the area of Texas, California and Maryland together. Until now we have several natural disasters, tsunami, floods and wildfires but it was a series of climate change predictions. Let us look at some damage done by climate change.
Heritage sites like Harappa, Ancient Egypt and the Maya civilization have been linked to climate change in a historic global collapse. In [8] It is reported that 37 inch rain poured to an Indian city named as Bombay and it is a global warming [8]. In 2005 hurricane Katrina was attributed to global warming. Recent inconclusive report emerged that global warming is responsible for the Leh cloudburst this August [9]. Even the damage from Tsunami in December 2004 in south-Asia due to unavailability of mangrove forests in the coastline are already well documented. It also reports death due to heat wave in Arizona in 2005, two-feet snowfall in Los Angeles during November 2004, 124mph winds in Scandinavia causing loss and disruption of electricity and drought in the Mid-West in August 2005 and claims global warming as the cause of these events. Such initiatives led by political commentators and activist have started gaining traction after such incidences. In 2010, a report from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change led by RK Pachauri stated that sea levels would rise by 7-23 inches due to climate change [10]. Even worse is the report by Climate Impacts Group in University of Washington, the Pacific Northwest temperature increased by 1.5° F in the 20th century.
CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Nature, too, has played a part routinely differentiating in favor of climate change. Apart from water vapour, dust and ash, a natural calamity like volcano emits poisonous gases like sulphur-dioxide. The sulphur-dioxide which is released gets deposited in the uppermost layer of earth atmosphere. The reflection of these released substances does not allow sunlight to penetrate the earth’s surface and this causes cooling of the earth. The toxic gas mixes with the accumulated water and creates sulphuric acid, which forms a layer of atmosphere at the top. These are able to do so by obstructing the sunlight and disturbing conventional systems causing eco-imbalance. According to alarms raised by mongabay [ [2] ] over 1 Million square km of forest was lost between the 2000 and 2005 [2]. We all know that the trees absorb the carbon-dioxide released by vehicles and factories. Therefore, we need to truly reflect upon the conclusions of the report to comprehend how many unabsorbed carbon-dioxide and other hazardous gases.
IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE
We first take the USA, an industrialized, highly developed country as an example with a view of estimating what effect climate change may have in the near future.
Water Availability
The water cycle also has an impact on water available for consumption. As a consequence, floods and droughts are more common. Climate variability will undoubtedly affect water quality both in surface and ground water. Transportation
The transportation sector will also be impacted by increasing irregular floods with the damage it causes to infrastructure. Floods disrupt the whole life within a fraction and effectively damage infrastructure, and a huge resource needs to be invested in the evacuation and rehabilitation of people.
Agriculture
Agriculture accounts for 8.6% of total greenhouse gas emissions for the U.S. Greenhouse gases such as carbon-dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide have a direct impact on agriculture. Recent wildfires in Russia caused a high rise in temperature in the atmosphere leading to a loss of crops. This has been attributed by many to the observable global warming [4]. Another report shows that 30% of South African maize will be lost by 2030 [5].
Environment
The reality is that many species on this planet need climate for their survival. We see reports threatening extinction of polar bears should this ice melting continues in the Arctic region, and extinction of variety of other species due to changing temperatures and climate as such. These drylands should be converted to fertile lands through heavy investment [6]. In 2005, the Tsunami that strikes south-Asia too were multiplied by the devastating impact owing to the destruction of mangrove forests along the coast. Mangrove trees can absorb tsunami waves but were uprooted to make way for aquaculture.

Many heat-related deaths already occur in India due to higher temperatures. Every summer many are dying in India due to extreme temperatures and every upcoming year becoming hotter than previous ones. It causes health imbalance, at any age, with irregular temperature swings. Infections due to air pollutants are bound to affect human beings.
SOLUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE
Global warming or climate change is a crisis to which every person their own way contributes and needs to correct their own way to put an end to this phenomenon. Kyoto protocol is framed to combat global warming under the common framework of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Until November 2009, 187 countries signed the protocol. Kyoto protocol came into existence in 1997 but it was implemented from February 2005. The protocol aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 5.2% by 2012 from what they were in 1990. A second climate solution seeks a 2020 target to cut carbon emissions by 40%. Solutions include
Energy efficiency
Everything should be use of energy regarding use in car for smooth running of powered vehicles, reduction of energy sources, industry policy measures and technological innovation skills to settle the right solution. Low noise refrigerators, energy efficient washing machines however save a good amount of energy. Machine washing clothes and drying them in the shade saves immense energy. The saving of energy is also a lot for the whole year by lowering the temperature of air conditioning system.
Solar energy
Instead of using non-renewable energy sources such as oil, gas, nuclear energy and coal, there must be a work up on renewable forms of energy sources. Coal is not being produced for heavy utilization anymore. Excellent news — the same goes for oil, as well as coal. From total energy consumption only 19% is renewable, only 2.8% is nuclear energy and the rest is fossil fuel, according to the most recent status report of renewable energy [11]. Biomass covers 13% of the renewable energy sources, hydropower covers 3.2%, solar energy covers approximately 1.4% and the remaining sources are wind energy, geothermal and hydropower.

Wind energy
Wind energy usage lowers carbon emissions to least possible levels as our main focus is to conserve our environment and maintain eco-balance since it is our primal objective to cut down carbon emissions. Wind energy generation requires infrastructure and construction is not the painstaking job as commonly presumed. According to Greenpeace the share of wind energy in the world energy supply will amount to 12% by 2020 [12].
Individual contribution
Conserving water during everyday tasks makes a significant difference in conserving energy. Public transport as in train and buses save energy. [11], namely rural renewable energy measures which enable the use of hydropower or biogas for lighting and energy applications instead of candles or kerosene. For communications too, instead of batteries, we can use hydropower or biogas. Instead of burning wood for cooking, we can develop and use solar cookers for more than 25% efficiency. Diesel pumps and generators can be replaced with solar PV pumps or mechanical wind pumps to pump water instead.
To another extent, turning on save screen mode in on personal computer can help save energy, thus it is another recommendable solution. Although it sounds trivial, the small amounts of energy saved become a big amount at the end of the year.
CONCLUSION
A stronger commitment is required from all the nations of the world to adhere to their pledges to cut carbon emissions in order that we reach our goal by the deadline, 2020. To tackle the challenges of climate change, countries must pursue the common goal of emission reductions and comply with protocols like Kyoto by reducing global warming. Furthermore, mitigating global warmth and fighting climate change is not only a government but also a citizens’ and each and every human’s mission. Stop using unnecessary water, save electricity, use public transport, recycle plastic, bottles, paper and waste, we should all work together to conserve energy.
