She rarely visited the GP surgery before the MI, but since then she typically visits at least once a week. People typically return to work within two months after an MI. With a 52 month median follow up time, the presence of microvascular obstruction was related to reduced event free survival. Microvascular obstruction was again found to be the strongest independent predictor for morbidity following acute MI.
