I have never met a more influential, caring, significant person in my grandpa. As a family member that I see frequently, we have always been very close, we have shared countless memories, and he has taught me many unforgettable lessons. It is the most significant person in my life because he taught me to seize every moment, work hard in all aspects of life, and the importance of giving back to others and how positive this can make you feel. Since life isn’t filled with happy things all the time, I have learned from my grandpa to take the bad things that life will sometimes present, and make the best out of these situations, because they are great learning experiences. At the very worst he says you’re alive and breathing, which I’ve learned is something I should not take for granted this phrase is probably the most memorable thing to me personally, after heart attack in 2011 in which three fourths of his arteries the flow to his art were blocked.

He spent 36 days in the hospital and had to learn how to walk and eat all over again after his surgeries even after this devastating moment in which he was on the verge of life or death, he still told me along with my family that he was still alive and breathing, which is enough for him.
