You will score the test and interpret the findings.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPart 2: In Part 2 of the assignment, you will administer a criterion referenced achievement test in reading, or writing, or mathematics to an appropriate and consented volunteer. You will score the test and interpret the findings.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPart 3: In Part 3 of the assignment, you will administer a behavioral\/social emotional measure to an appropriate and consented volunteer. You will score the test and interpret the findings.<br \/>\n\u2022\tPart 4: In Part 4 of the assignment, you will integrate the results of the 3 administered tests listed above (standardized, criterion, and behavioral\/Social emotional) into a integrated summary report. The integrated report should include the following 10 sections:<br \/>\n1) Demographic Information<br \/>\n2) Reason for Referral<br \/>\n3) Assessment Procedures<br \/>\n4) Background Information<br \/>\n5) Behavioral Observations<br \/>\n6) Assessment Results<br \/>\n7) Clinical Impressions<br \/>\n8) Summary<br \/>\n9) Recommendations<br \/>\n10) Data Summary<\/p>\n<p>Assignment Overview:<br \/>\nYou will plan, administer, and score 3 assessments to an appropriate consented volunteer.  Then based upon the test results, you will write an integrated assessment report, using the template provided.  Be sure your writing is clear and concise, with well-constructed paragraphs and sentences; carefully proofread for mechanical errors and typos.<\/p>\n<p>Part 1<br \/>\nPart 1 Guiding Notes:<br \/>\nAdminister standardized comprehensive achievement test:<br \/>\n1.\tSelect a standardized comprehensive achievement test (WIAT-IV, K-TEA, WJ-IV Achievement, etc). Choose a technically sound instrument that minimizes bias. Be sure to consider the unique characteristics of the volunteer when thoughtfully selecting the test. Test kits can be loaned out to you for a one-week period.<br \/>\n2.\tAdminister the standardized comprehensive achievement test to an appropriate volunteer (a child that falls within the age range of the achievement test, not receiving special education services or undergoing any type of evaluation).<br \/>\n3.\tScore the standardized comprehensive achievement test based upon the scoring criteria found in the test manual.<br \/>\n4.\tInterpret the test score results \u2013 what were the strengths and weaknesses of the student volunteer?<br \/>\n5.\tWhat are some recommendations for modifications, instruction, intervention, or strategies based upon the test results?<\/p>\n<p>Part 2<br \/>\nPart 2 Guiding Notes:<br \/>\nAdminister one criterion referenced achievement test:<br \/>\n1.\tSelect a criterion referenced test (performance based).<br \/>\n2.\tAdminister the criterion referenced test to your volunteer.<br \/>\n3.\tScore the criterion referenced test based upon the appropriate scoring criteria.<br \/>\n4.\tInterpret the test score results \u2013 what were the strengths and weaknesses of the student volunteer?<br \/>\n5.\tWhat are some recommendations for modifications, instruction, intervention, or strategies based upon the test results?<\/p>\n<p>Part 3<br \/>\nPart 3 Guiding Notes:<br \/>\nAdminister one behavioral\/social-emotional test:<br \/>\n1.\tSelect a behavioral\/social emotional test (BASC-3, Conner, etc). Choose a technically sound instrument that minimizes bias.<br \/>\n2.\tAdminister the behavioral\/social emotional test to your volunteer.<br \/>\n3.\tScore the behavioral\/social-emotional test based upon the appropriate scoring criteria.<br \/>\n4.\tInterpret the test scores \u2013 what were the strengths and weaknesses of the student volunteer? Any areas of concern?<br \/>\n5.\tWhat are some recommendations for modifications, instruction, intervention, or strategies based upon the test results?<\/p>\n<p>Part 4<br \/>\nPart 4 Guiding Notes:<br \/>\nIntegrate the assessment results findings into a single report.<br \/>\n1.\tUsing the report template provided, complete each of the 10 report sections.<br \/>\n1) Demographic Information &#8211;<br \/>\n2) Reason for Referral &#8211; Establish rationale for assessment and how the information will be useful. What are the specific questions and concerns about this child?<br \/>\n3) Assessment Procedures- List the multiple types of assessments administered. Be sure the assessments selected are appropriate and demonstrate knowledge of diversity in culture, development, and learning.<br \/>\n4)Background Information \u2013 Discuss essential information about the child\u2019s history, status, and circumstances. This information is gathered through collaboration and communication with school personnel, families, and the student. Be sure to apply knowledge of diversity issues.<br \/>\n5) Behavioral Observations- Observations should be low inference and pertinent to the referral question and provide insight into the child\u2019s functioning.<br \/>\n6) Assessment Results- Presented accurately and in an understandable and meaningful manner.<br \/>\n7) Clinical Impressions- Consistent with findings from the multiple assessment sources<br \/>\n8) Summary- Concise, highlights key findings<br \/>\n9) Recommendations -Integrate and interpret your assessment findings. List recommendations to meet your volunteer\u2019s needs, interests and learning styles. Be sure to include academics, behavior, personal and social development, daily living, and occupations\/ careers.
