\nCaring for patients from diverse communities requires understanding, knowledge, and empathy. Effective delivery of healthcare services involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Communication is an essential tool in the delivery of care to patients with diverse needs. Culturally sensitive care is vital in the delivery of care to meet the needs of all patients.
\nDelivery of care to mental health patients requires sensitive and empathy-based care. The patients experience stigma and denial due to the negative perception of mental disorders. Patients with mental illness experience bullying and harassment which can worsen the patient outcomes. Patient education is vital in ensuring more people can disclose their mental health status.
\nMy philosophy is to provide patient-centered and culturally sensitive care. I will uphold justice and fairness to avoid discrimination dominating the healthcare sector. I believe my philosophy will provide an opportunity to deliver holistic and empathetic care to patients. I will also strive to deliver care to underprivileged low-income communities and minority groups. The approach is essential to provide care to people who experience mental problems with little assistance. I strive to provide culturally sensitive care while adhering to ethical principles. Adherence to ethical principles is vital in enhancing support for patients with mental illnesses.

\nI have carefully considered the decision to go back to school to enhance my knowledge. I have decided to specialize as a psychiatric mental health practitioner from a registered nurse. The decision is a bold step since it involves learning new concepts. I have been out of school but I still chose to pursue my dream. The reason for choosing Walden University is because the institution offers online courses. The online class will help me to maintain my full-time job.
\nMy experience involves working in a healthcare facility in Florida that had various psychiatric mental health practitioners. The psychiatrists inspired me to pursue my goal. The provision of healthcare services to improve health and wellness inspire me to care for mental health patients. I have experienced psychotherapy sessions and prescription of drugs to patients with diverse conditions. The healthcare facility where I was doing my internship was effective in broadening my scope of knowledge. Therefore, I have confidence that I can assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients for psychotherapy and psychopharmacology aspects.
\nI have a wide experience in delivering family-based care to patients suffering from diverse mental problems. Family is a critical support to patients suffering from mental illness.
