The client\u2019s living conditions, family responsibilities, and financial limitations influenced her capacity to follow health advice as much as her clinical condition, yet my initial focus centred primarily on symptoms and compliance. When viewed through a community health nursing lens, this experience reinforced the importance of assessing social determinants and understanding individual priorities rather than assuming education alone will lead to behaviour change. In future practice, I plan to use more open-ended questions and explicitly invite clients to identify their most pressing concerns.
