Assignment Instructions

Compose a 500-750 word action plan that addresses a scenario involving developmental milestones in a child aged 2-5 years. Choose one area of development (physical, cognitive, or social-emotional) and identify a potential delay based on standard benchmarks from sources like the CDC or WHO guidelines.

Your plan should include:

1. Identification of the specific milestone and possible delay, with a brief explanation.
2. Two to three nursing assessments you would perform.
3. Interventions, including family education and referrals if needed.
4. Expected outcomes and how to evaluate them.
5. At least two peer-reviewed references to support your approach.

Use APA 7th edition for formatting, citations, and references. Submit as a Word document with 1-inch margins, double-spaced, and Times New Roman 12-point font. Include a title page and reference list.

If the word count falls short or exceeds the limit, points may be deducted. Aim for clear, concise writing that shows your understanding of pediatric care.

Interventions and Outcomes (30 points)

• Excellent (26-30): Interventions are evidence-based and practical; outcomes are measurable and tied to evaluations.
• Proficient (18-25): Interventions are solid but could be more specific; outcomes are somewhat clear.
• Developing (10-17): Interventions lack detail; outcomes are vague.
• Needs Improvement (0-9): Minimal or unrelated interventions.

Writing and Organization (15 points)

• Excellent (13-15): Well-organized, error-free, and flows logically.
• Proficient (9-12): Minor errors; generally organized.
• Developing (5-8): Some disorganization or frequent errors.
• Needs Improvement (0-4): Poor structure and many errors.

APA Formatting and References (15 points)

• Excellent (13-15): Perfect APA style; at least two quality references.
